What do visitors like about Retreat?
“A quiet space accompanied by noise cancelling headphones, a soft spot on the floor to curl up on, very nice people who offered help but let me say no without judgement”
“Having a space to go to that was safe and equipped to make me comfortable and not feel judged.”

“Quiet space away from the busy event, being able to sit somewhere without being pressured to interact or join a conversation, having community support.”
Why is Retreat staffed?
Our neurodivergent facilitators cultivate an inclusive and welcoming environment for a population with a diverse set of needs. As a neurodivergent run organization we understand that many in the community have experience being treated as burdens. Our facilitators are there to let every visitor know that they belong and they deserve to enjoy what big events have to offer without sacrificing their own well-being.
